Talk to your neighbours and find a solution together
Do not wait too long to tell them what is bothering you. Sometimes your neighbours do not know that they are causing a nuisance. Do not talk to your neighbours when you are angry. Think about what you want to say beforehand and remain calm and friendly.
In the case of long-term or recurring nuisance, it is advisable to contact the Care and Nuisance Contact Centre (Meldpunt Zorg en Overlast). If you contact the Care and Nuisance Contact Centre, Lieven de Stad would also like to hear from you. The Centre will pass on the report to the appropriate care institution and coordinate the actions taken. They will also maintain contact with the complainant. Each district has its own hotline.
